Dry Cutting

I have been cutting hair for nearly 15 years and have specialized in curly hair for about 8 or 9 . I have always cut curly hair wet. Over the last few years dry cutting curly hair has become much more popular.
I do not cut any hair dry. Not because I am opposed to it but because it doesn't work for me. I have clients with tight course hair and I have clients with loose soft wavy hair. I cut all of them wet. I admit it is a little harder cutting really tight hair but it doesn't seem any easier when done dry. I have seen some people that have had dry cuts and it doesn't look any better to me.
I am not trying to tell other stylists how to cut or curly haired people how to get their own hair cut. I am just saying that just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it doesn't work at all.
To say that all of any hair type should be cut the same way shows a lack of understanding of differences from person to person.
If you call a salon and they say how they are going to cut your hair before they see or touch it I would think twice. Always have a consultation.
