These pics of are of a client with level 3B to 3C curls, (to find your curl level click here). I applied the color to the roots and pulled through on some sections for the full time. A semi permanent version of the same color was applied to the remaining hair in ten minute intervals until the processing time ended. Her hair was cut wet. I used Living Proof Curl Cream to style and diffused.

Spalon has finally gone out of business. I am starting work at a new salon, Spa Logic, this week. It is located at 1721 Connecticut Avenue in Northwest Washington DC. My cell phone number is 202-277-2769. Once I get the number of the new salon I will post it here. I will be posting more photographs here soon. Please let anyone you know who is a former client or current client who can't find me where I am. It is greatly appreciated and I look forward to seeing you in my new digs.

Fall Change
A change in color for the fall. Brings back the healthy shine and helps control the frizz having used a semi permanent gloss. The color was applied at different intervals so there were still lighter and darker pieces to maintain the natural appearance of the color. The client didn't want the color to look the same all throughout her hair.
Her hair is a level 3B (click here to find your curl level.) Her hair was cut wet. I applied Foxy Curls to her hair in small sections and then diffused.

I Want It Now
Clients need to learn the difference between what they want their hair to look like and what is best for their hair. If you have no concern for the condition of your hair do all the chemical services you want. That is not a criticism it's a fact. If you constantly change the color from light to dark their will be consequences for your hair. It's OK but don't complain about fly aways, dryness or, at its worst, breakage.
I am putting this up because I have a client now that insists on going lighter and lighter in her color. Her hair looks good when blown out but when it is left to dry naturally it looks a mess.
I am always torn between giving people what they ask for and guiding them towards what is best.
I find women around my age, 37, and older want healthy hair. The younger women will do whatever to look like what they see in their head even at the expense of the health of their hair and scalp.
I only put this up to remind people that choices made in the hair salon have long term consequences. Make sure you have a stylist, like me, who will tell you the truth even if you don't like it.
That's a good stylist.
